The Valley Jr. Warriors EHL Premier team shut down the Connecticut Chiefs this weekend in a tight 4-3 overtime contest.
The two teams met earlier this season in late September where the Warriors fell 5-7.
The Chiefs opened the game with a 1-0 lead in the first period and extended that lead into the second period with two more unanswered goals.
Braeden Logue scored a power play goal late into the second period putting the Warriors on the board and Isaac Espinosa put up one more with just 17 seconds remaining in second period play.
Isaac Espinosa struck again in the opening minute of the third period to tie the game at 3. Matt O'Brien put up the overtime goal to win it for the Warriors at home.
The squad prepares to take on the Boston Jr. Rangers this Wednesday, October 17 at 6:30 pm at Stoneham Ice Arena for their third match up of the season.
