Valley Jr. Warrior Tryouts will be held on May 9 at 7:00-8:30 pm and May 10 at 4:00-5:30 pm at the state-of-the-art Paul T. Gilmartin Arena (formerly known as the Haverhill Valley Forum).
The Valley Jr. Warriors Program is part of the Eastern Hockey League, the #1 league in DII and DIII commitments for the past three seasons.
These events are additional opportunities to be evaluated by the Warrior staff. Both showcases are very well attended by junior, college, and pro scouts. $250 each.

Andy Heinze is director of hockey operations for the Valley Jr. Warriors and is the head coach and general manager of the VJW Junior team. In his first year as coach of the Junior team, Heinze was honored as the EJHL Coach of the Year. He received that honor once again in 2001 and most recently in 2012. Heinze, a former captain of the 1989-90 Merrimack College team, began coaching at his alma mater in 1993 following a three-year professional career in Europe. He holds the Merrimack school record for most games played with 144 and currently ranks 10th on Merrimack's all-time scoring list with 77 goals and 89 assists for 166 points.
Since 2010, Jeremy has worked closely with Andy Heinze and the VJW Junior program. He has an extensive background in training young players and improving their overall skills. His work on stride and skating development for numerous teams and individuals has made him well known in the hockey community. He has also owned and operated Pride Hockey School since 2008. A 1990 graduate of Cathedral High School, Tabb went on to enjoy a successful playing career at UMass-Lowell and Elmira College and then as a professional player for four years in France.
