Tyler Rossi Commits to SUNY Brockport

Haverhill, MA- 2000 born right-handed defense Tyler Rossi (Amherst, NY) has committed to the State University of New York @ Brockport for the fall of 2021.  SUNY Brockport is located in Brockport, New York and plays in the ultra-competitive State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) and is classified as NCAA DIII.  They are coached by Mr. Brian Dickenson and Mr. Chris Luker.

Tyler is a hard-nosed right-handed defenseman who excelled in all situations for the Jr Warriors this past season.  Tyler was voted  by his teammates to be the team's captain back in September.  He was traded to the Jr Warriors last season from the Philadelphia Revolution but did not play so that he could rehab a broken leg.  Tyler and the Jr Warriors coaching staff kept in touch all spring and summer then came to an agreement to have him play his last season of junior hockey in the Merrimack Valley.  Tyler had interest from several schools but ultimately chose to commit to Brockport as a result of his major (computer science) and a fantastic campus and coaching staff.

“Tyler did a tremendous job for us this season!  He was a fantastic leader and was a huge help to the coaching staff” said Head Coach & GM Ryan McGrath

“His journey was so inspiring to witness.  Tyler came from one of the lowest parts of his life (broken leg) to achieving his dream in 12 months” cont. McGrath.

The entire Valley Jr Warriors program would like to congratulate Tyler on his commitment to SUNY Brockport.
