VALLEY JR. WARRIORS - JUNIORS
EHLP DOMINATES AT THE EASTERN HOCKEY LEAGUE NOVEMBER SHOWCASE

The Eastern Hockey League showcase series continued this past weekend. The Valley Jr. Warriors enjoyed home ice for the Eastern Hockey League November Showcase Series. Games were played at Paul T. Gilmartin Arena in Haverhill, Massachusetts as well as Valley Forum Ice Arena in Lawrence.  

The showcase consisted of 43 games played over the three-day stretch. With 27 EHL games and 16 EHLP games. As host of the EHL November Showcase Series, The Valley Jr. Warriors EHLP team had great success with a clean 3-0 sweep on the weekend.   

The EHLP squad started Friday off strong with a 5-0 win over the Union Thunder. Anthony Beaulieu, 2x EHLP player of the week, recorded the shutout. The game was a full team effort with 10 different players recording a point in the game.  

On Saturday, it was an overtime thriller between the Valley Jr. Warriors and the Adirondack Jr. Thunder. Michael Del Trecco was stellar in net for the Jr. Warriors stopping 29 out of 32 shots. The Jr. Warriors took home a 4-3 win with a goal by Sean Lane assisted by Ashton Barras and Will O’Keefe 1 minute into overtime.    

On Sunday, the Jr. Warriors completed the sweep by defeating the southern division leader, The Pennsylvania Huntsman 4-3. Beaulieu stopped 35 of the 38 shots in the game. Matt Devin assisted on three of the four goals scored. Lane scored and added 2 more assists to cap off an impressive 6 point weekend which earn him EHLP Forward of the Week honors. 

The 3-0 weekend bumped the EHLP Jr. Warriors up into 5th in the EHLP power rankings.
